If ur car isn't gaining speed then at the evolution mode go to
the garage and select a car. then go to parts and buy new and
advanced parts (i.e. buy big bore throttle body,high performance
exaust system etc. and replace them with standard throttle body,
standard exaust system and so on). u can also buy other many advanced
parts and then come back and go to the car setup and install those
new parts that u have bought and take part in races. ur car gains a
lot of speed.u can earn lots of dollars.have fun!

To ride with maximum speed while taking a turn never push the brakes...
Instead try to take your hand off the accelarator and take the turn...
And in the middle of the process press the accelarator....
This will reduse the speed loss that your car was encountering previously.......
Making you the king of the street in no time by adding style points in to
your account...enjoy!!!


PREVENT WALL IMPACTS IN DRIFT:
------------------------------

As soon as your comes near the wall & you feel that there will be a wall impact,
just press 'R' to restart your car and prevent the wall impact. This will help in
increasing style points.

CHEAT CODES:

At the main menu, select the "Statistics" option, then press [Delete] or [Backspace]
to return to the main menu. Then, type one of the following codes to activate the
corresponding cheat function:

If you try the cheats and they don't work this is why:

I can help with your problem! You have to go to the statistics menu
and hit backspace instead of delete, this will take you back to the
main menu. Nothing out of the ordinary will happen but type in the
code and hit enter and you go back to the statistics menu. After
that your code will work in quick race only. I haven't found a way
to make it work for the underground section.

Example: Go to statistics and hit enter.
Now hit backspace (should take you back to main menu).
Type your code (for instance allmylvl1parts [for engine upgrades]).
Hit enter (should be back at statistics menu).
Hit backspace.
Either enter another code or go to quick race to use your cheat!

installation folder\cars(folder in which there is gamedata)and here begins the
cheat.
First make backup of this folder.now copy file ambulance outside the folder.
Now rename it as the names of the cars and copy back to the cars folder.now play
the game(Don't replace the file of your car)now when you will play the game all
your opponent will drive slowly thereby winning you the race(Although you will
only see the Four tyres of the opponent cars) Enjoy!!!!!!

Do not, repeat, do not, brake while in the midst of a turn,
particularly when driving older automobiles. The EA version
of an antique Porsche has a tendency, and probably rightly
so, to seriously rock your world if you do, sending you into
a drift from which you may not recover. Instead, brake early,
turn smoothly, and accelerate on the exit.

There's no better way of ridding oneself of an annoying police
officer than by nudging him into a passing motorist or solid
roadside object.

Alternate routes are not always shortcuts. If you find yourself
consistently slow on a given course, check out all the routes
available to you before resorting to a different setup.

Go with the "front bumper" camera for the best results.
Here, the program doesn't have to pump out cockpit and driver
animations, so the frame rate is generally faster.
Also, you get a better sense of the speed at which you are
traveling, so you'll be better prepared to slow down for
upcoming turns.

Torque rules. If you find yourself in a section where you can
use a higher gear with lower RPM or a lower gear with high
revs, go with the latter every time.

When you play in evolution mode, finish the first era i-e Classic Era.
Now in the "Golden Era" select second Event i-e "Mixed Class Challenge".
In this event the first track is "Zone Industrial".
Yes the cheat is available here, in this track.
Start the race and now when you drive just about 600m or a little more may
be there will be a short cut on your left side, go to that way, but carefuly
drive there, that is a long and a little difficult way to drive. When you
exits that short cut and enters the main road just a few meters away your
car enters in a factory area, big terbines on your right and left and big
pipe on your right and left just on the end of the factory there is a right
turn and a water tank is on your right, now this location is the way to enter
the space, just between the factory and the right turn of the road, there are
two outyards on your right and left, when going away from the factory enter
the right outyard and hit the front wall with the car.......oooops your car
doesn't crashed, and you are flying, now enjoy the flight in need for speed 5.
but when you go to the road and you sea that your car is below the road level
so don't enter the road your car will hang in the air, but when you are ab!
ove the road level go to enter the road and yes its just like that you are
landing from a jump, and you will enjoy also the landing of your car.

Save your dollors:
------------------

While in the race you are driving very fast and unluckely you hits any thing
on the track or side walls or stones and you are axpecting the car to fly and
fall on road upside down, and you know that that will damage the car a lot.
now you can reduce your damage and lose of the dollors...how....just press
the key " R " when your car hits some thing, it will reset your car on the
road. Remember press "R" before your car fall down on the road. and yes just
send some of the dollors for me which you saved by my advice. ok

Hints:

You can get out of the track in Schwarwald and in Monte Carlo Circuit 4
In Schwarzwald

In Schwarzwald at the oppsite side of the enterence of the shed like
tunnel in forward track when you
try to hit the wall of the shed on the right side of the tunnel you
will get out of the track.

In Monte Carlo Circuit 4

In Monte Carlo Circuit 4 at the ending 'u' turn when you try to hit
the fence near the fountain on either
side of the track you will get out of the track into the small portion
which makes the track a 'u' turn.


Hints:

In This game there is no simple way to complete the game, however if you
use these simple hints it will be easier.

Car Selection:
--------------
ALWAYS use the car compare tool, if the scores are tied then look at the
weight (A slightly lighter car is slightly faster) under the Showcase button.
NEVER use the 550A Spyder as it is worse than the 911S Coupe, and can't be
upgraded like the normal cars can.

Car Setup:
----------
Here is my favourite setup that gives you great control
Ride Height=Minimum
Stiffness=Maximum
Travel=Minimum
Toe In=Maximum
Brake Balance=Slightly towards the front
Downforce (Front and Rear)=100
Tire Pressure=45

Money Hints:
------------
Buy used cars, repair them and sell them for 9999999 Credits.
The buyers then buy it off you for their highest price and you
will make a profit (around 2000 Credits or 750,000 Credits if you
buy a 935 Moby Dick and sell it in the year 2000) as the money they
pay always covers the cost of the car and the repair.
If you plan on racing a car you bought second-hand then upgrade it
BEFORE you repair it, otherwise you repair a part that you subsequently
replace.

Downloadable Stuff:

There are literally thousands of cars and tools available for download,
my current favourite is a tool that lets you go backwards and Forwards
in time, make every Porsche in the game available to be bought in the
new cars menu (up to your current year), increase the amount of cars
for sale in the used cars menu and increase the money in your account
by 50,000 Credits every time you press one of the buttons.

Getting a problem of low speed car?:
------------------------------------

Then at the evolution mode go to the garage and select a car.
then fo to parts and buy new parts which are expensive but can
add speed. (Eg.For standard Flywheel you can buy Superlight
flywheel which adds about 15 hp of power). in this way you can
get more power and speed. after buying all of that things come
back and go to car setup and replace the parts as in the example
above and replace other many more parts in the same way which
will add a lot of speed.


More Money in Evolution Mode:
-----------------------------

Buy a new expensive car (like a 'Moby-Dick', GT1 or other race-class car)
and sell it for more than you bought it. If you overprice the car too much,
you will never get offered the exact amount. If it is reasonably overpriced,
you get the exact amount immediately. The more expensive the car, the more
you can overprice it. You can only make about one thousand points from a cheap
car, but with a car like the 'Moby-Dick' you can make about 13 000!

Winning Formula:
----------------
Don't believe everything you read in the Cheats section of this Database.
Check out the brilliant PC-Walkthrough of NFS Porsche 2000, which gives
detailed tips on handling, tracks and car parts. Some versions of Porsche
Unleashed are the same as Porsche 2000.
Slow and Steady wins the race - usually, rushing past your opponents gives
you a few wonderful moments in 1st place, but you soon get beaten. Slow down
when you think you might crash, even if someone is catching up to you. CAUTION
is the keyword!
Not every detour is a shortcut. Often, the most direct-looking route has many
tight corners, so plot your route before you race.
Although automatic is easier, manual can push higher revs and more speed out of
the car. Also, if you find you did not brake hard enough for a corner, you can
shift up to a lower gear to help slow the car while staying in control (not full
control, but better than using brakes or the handbrake).

No Cops:

The folder where u have installed the game there will be another folder naming
data or some thing like that i dont remember exactly any ways find the folder
naming Cops delete it and there will be no more annoying cops.just find yhe folder
'cops' in the game folder and delete it.

Choose Single Player mode and put in "freewill" as
your name.
This will enable your car to double its speed, and
breaking every record.

Hint:

This is how I cheat in Porsche 2000
First make a backup of whatever you may change!!!

Go to:
1 Gamedata
2 Simulation
3 AIcardata

Copy 356.ais outside its folder. Then rename it to 356a.ais.
Copy the renamed file back to the AIcardata folder.
Next rename all in this manner. In short you give all cars
the same characteristics as a Porsche 356.
Don't rename vssver.scc though!

In this way your racing opponents will drive very slowly,
so You can win all!!

Always leave the accceleration on big turnings.The car turns more
when doing this.

Always uninstall the weight reduction menu on the car setup menu.
This will make the car heavy and it will not fly in air


Some small things can help u to win a race:
-------------------------------------------

1.Always start accelerating when it calls 1 when race starts.
2.As u know earning money is easy by repairing & selling old cars
so earn as much money u need then get best upgrades while playing
evolution mode.
3.Always keep ur gearbox the standard one which is the best.
4.Always keep twin turbo engine which is standard in golden as well
as in the mordern era
5.Always keep travel & ride height minimum & toe in & stiffness
maximum .
6.Always keep downward force 100 for both tires.
7.Always keep tire pressure 45 for both tires.
8.The above mentioned (6th & 7th)are for control so keep the best
engines for speed. But still sometimes car doesnot give optimum
performance then you can reduce downward force only to 70 or 75
9.It is not necessary to win club races to get to the next mode.
10.To get better control on turns without loosing speed leave the
accelerator while taking a turn then as soon as u think the car has
taken enough turn press the throttle.

Choose Sprint and select track 1 (Seaside & Powerstation).

To an extra $10,000 in career mode have a Need For Speed Underground
career game saved on your hard drive.
After the prologue you will get $10,000.

Quick start:
------------
Pay close attention to your tachometer when launching from the start
line. Grab a perfect launch to gain a few precious seconds. When the
needle turns blue drop the clutch and hold on.

Nitrous and grip:
-----------------
Hitting nitrous torques the chassis back, giving the rear tires immensely
more weight under the new acceleration. The end effect is that you will
go straight. If you find your tail sliding out or are about to spin out
of control, hit your nitrous. You will be surprised at how fast you will
get straight again. This is a great trick in combination with Speedbreaker.
With the correct timing, there is no corner you cannot take at any speed.


Blacklist milestones:

Blacklist milestones are things you need to do to rack up your bounty so you
can challenge the next person on the Blacklist. Check out these so you know
what you need to do to rack up the points. Once the milestones are completed,
you must work on racking up the points. The best way to do this is to cause
as much major damage as possible by taking out police cars, traffic, and
crashing through shops (for example the donut shop and others you will notice
in the later levels). Try to rack up as much bounty and escape before your
status has reached level 4. If your status is already level 4, then choose a
different car for awhile until the status goes down before returning to your
favorite car. Once your status hits level 4, it is harder to get into cool
down mode to find somewhere to hide. Avoid getting caught, as you will lose
the bounty you have racked up during the chase.

Don't Get Busted:
-----------------

When the cops are after you and some how you get caught, before the message
on the screen says "Busted" quickly press "Alt" + "F4". This will exit the
game immediately
Not giving it enough time to save, all your game saves will still be present.
And it would be as if nothing ever happened.

Ford GT 40 variations:
----------------------

As soon as you unlock the Ford GT, go to "My Cars" and select it.
Do not put any extra parts on the car. Go to "Visual", select "Vinyls",
choose the stripe vinyls, and pick Stripe 1. Keep both stripe colors
white and select that vinyl. You should notice the the car looks exactly
like the 2005 Ford GT 40, with the white double fat stripes, and the stripe
on the side skirt with the words "Ford GT". For the 2002 Ford GT, the car
should be black with two white stripes. For the 2002 GT 40, the car should
goldenrod with two black stripes.


Hint:

If you got a flat tire but only one the car will not stop at all and you
can finish the pursuit belive me it works thats how I finished Most Wanted
but it worked on the right front tire I dont knou about the other tires but
with a flat tire the car goes madd.

Hint:

when u defeat a blacklist rival it's hard to guess which marker is pinkslip
wich gives u the rivals car here's the way I discovered :first select the
left marker if it's (get out of jail for free) or (cash bonus)then pinkslip
is on the far right if it's (impound strike) or (pick any car from impound)
then pinkslip is in the middle marker oh one more thing if u R afraid of
gettin busted just turn autosave off and save before u engage in apersuit
and simply load if u get busted


Hint:

When in heat level 4, try hitting on as many SUVs at top speed, keeping your
eyes ahead. The SUVs just hit and run soon after you are down to speed 0.
If you get to hit 'em with nitro on, you are bound to get higher bounty.
Trust me, I have made >400000 bounty in just 3 mins using this strategy.

Try hitting on SUV roadblocks (hit on the ass) as much as possible,
raising bounty. Watch out for spikes. Once you hit successfully, go
straight through. The cars following you will be stuck there fo a long time.


Hint:

This is not really a cheat but a trick. When you run out of money in nfsmw
go to safe house,select blacklist,select race events,and play the race you
find easy as many times as you want to raise your money.
The same way to get more bounty go to safe house select blacklist,select
race events,select the race where you have to ride more than specified mph
(I think its photoshoot) play the race until you get enough bounty. i feel
this easier than others.

Hint:

when in career mode,load the allais no 3(if you have created one).
start the presuit and the heat won`t go over x2.

Hint:

A very easy way to complete the game is by downloading the nfsmw
black edition files. with this u can specify the amount of money
n bounty u want and u have all 18 bonus cars including the awesome
BMW M3 GTR be4 defeating Blacklist racer#15 Sonny

these r just tricks 2 score more bounty,all that u need 2 do is go to
the bus station n stay on the ramp or on the parking buses with atleast
a police cruiser winding u.it woll b better with cross on ur tail n see
the bounty raising like anything i got more than 1000000 bounty in a
single pursuit n 78 damaged police vehicles.

Tip:
----

Get into a persiut and go to the bus station at the ramp dont ramp just
stop on top of the busses the cops will try to get you but they will
destroy them selvess .normally it works best when you do it at heat 2
just watch your back if the cops get smart.


Car test:
---------
If you are unsure which car is the best to use when upgraded, you can upgrade all the cars
that are unlocked for free in the main menu.-Go to "My Cars", choose a car that is available,
and upgrade it with the parts that are available. By doing this, you will not waste all your
money in career mode.

Better car performance:
-----------------------
After getting your car upgraded with engines, suspension, brakes, etc., go to "Performance
Tuning". For better handling for the Lamborghini, Porsche, Corvette, and Viper, set the
"Height" of you car to "-1". If you need more gripping power either take the "Height" to
"-2" or set the "Aerodynamics" to "+1". If you go overboard with the performance tuning
options (anything past "+3" or "-3"), the car will actually handle worse.

To gain extra money you must first have not bought too many tracks. End the game
if it is not already closed. Go to the location of your file. Usually it is stored
under C:\program files\EAGames\Hot Pursuit 2. Next go into the file called tracks.
In this folder you should find a text file called tracks, open it. If you scroll
down you will notice that all of the tracks are grouped in an organized order.
you should notice three or four numbers with some of them being different and
some of them the same. All of these numbers should be in the thousands. Change
all of these numbers to a negative number such as -60000. You may wish to change
all the numbers for each track to a negative number. Exit the program clicking
YES to save. Start the game and buy a couple of tracks, when you buy them the
computer will end up paying you money. You will know if you have done the program
correctly if the computer says the track costs -60000. Also you can switch the
track to backward!

The result will make every gamer and car lover laugh.
This invovles some editing work.Open your NFS folder,
then open cars folder.Open the folder of car you want
to edit.For eg-'elise'.It will have many subfolders.
Again there will be a folder named car,[car_hp is the
nfs version of the car and car_cop is obviosly the cop
version].You can edit any version.
you will actually see that EA has written that tuning
of the car is possible.Select the matter from
AeroDragCoefficient=x.xxx to FinalGearRatio=x.xx.Delete it.
Don't close that folder.Then open any other car folder for
eg-'f1lm',copy that car's AeroDragCoefficient=x.xxx

This has unbelievable results .How about this,the elise which
goes only till 200kmph was clocked 345kmph by me.Don't change
any other matter.Because that can damage the graphic settings

tuning can make their own creation ,for eg-a Holden with

Well with this cheat you can change no. of laps to 1

Open NFSHP2\FrontEnd\Championship.ini

Change all the values of m_numlaps i.e m_numLaps[1]=1
m_numLaps[2]=1

m_numLaps[4]=1

You will be required to play only "1 Lap" for each race!!

m_numLaps[2], m_numLaps[3], m_numLaps[4] indicates that it is a four race event

i.e when no. of races > 1 some where it will be written as
